In order to support the Aerodynamics department, Airbus Operations is looking for an
Intern within Aerodynamics Numerical Simulation and Analysis (d/f/m)
You are a full time student, looking for an internship and would like to apply and expand CFD skills and support numerical aerodynamic analysis in our team? Then apply now! We are looking forward to you joining us as an intern (d/f/m) at the Aerodynamics department (35 hours/week, flex-time).
Location: Bremen
Start: August 2024 or later
Duration: 6 months
As an intern you support the Aerodynamics team in the validation and industrialisation of a novel meshing tool and next generation CFD solver.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Preparation of meshes for CFD
generating the numerical flow solution
post processing and comparison of the results against available reference data (windtunnel, flight test and existing CFD results)
creation and documentation of new best practices.
Both qualitative and quantitative analysis and interpretation of the results will be required. This will allow you to develop and expand your aerodynamic knowledge, while working in a dynamic and transnational environment.
Desired skills and qualifications
Enrolled full-time student within Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or similar field of study
Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and basic programming skills
A basic understanding of Aerodynamics
First experience in setting up and running CFD
Deeper knowledge on RANS solvers would be a plus
Knowledge in data analytics would be a plus
English: fluent
Basics in German are a plus
