Job Description

The internship offers an insight into development of acceleration sensors which are silicon-based micro-electromechanical-systems (MEMS). Students are involved in the development of the newest sensor generation. We can offer regularly project related tasks of the following areas:

• During your internship, you will get experience in sensors, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and application-specific integrated circuits (ASIC) as well as the corresponding measurement technology incl. the introduction to the current state of the art.
• You will become an active team member in the planning and execution of experiments, simulations, analysis of big data, machine learning and automation of measurements/measurement technology.
• Last but not least, you will present your experimental results and evaluations about the performance of prototypes or high volume types to the development team.

Qualifications

• Education: studies in the field ofElectrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Microsystem Engineering, Computer Science or comparable
• Experience and Knowledge: in programming and simulation (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C) as well as experience in laboratory measurements, data analysis, evaluation and measurement technology
• Qualifications: ideally a valid driving licence for Germany 
• Personality and Working Practice: a committed, goal-oriented, team-minded, structured and independent person
• Enthusiasm: interest in MEMS-based sensors technologies as well as experimental work in a team
• Languages: fluent in English, German is a plus

Additional Information

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 5 - 12 months (if the total duration of the internship exceeds 6 months, confirmation as mandatory internship is required for the entire period according to the study regulations)
