Internship in Purchasing MP (processes, systems, supplier management) from March 2025

Mercedes-Benz Cars Procurement & Supplier Quality (MP) is responsible for an annual purchasing volume in the double-digit billion range as well as the quality of purchased parts for all vehicles. Process management, risk management, cost management and digitalization for the MP division are centralized in our MP/B Center. All MP methods, processes and systems are continuously improved and (further) developed in our center. With our daily efforts, we help to make the star shine brighter!

In the "Processes, Methods and Systems Purchasing" department, we define the framework conditions for the strategic orientation of purchasing with regard to process and system development. We help to ensure that our operational purchasing departments have the right tools at their disposal to positively influence the corporate success of Mercedes-Benz AG.

These are some of the challenges you will face:

• Active participation in various projects in the context of process, system and strategy design in purchasing
• Collaboration in the operational handling of tool processes
• Preparation, follow-up and organization of process-relevant management committees
• Preparation and creation of presentation documents for top management
• Assisting with internal communication between Purchasing and related departments (Development, Logistics, Controlling)
• Independent preparation and presentation of special topics in the team and/or department

• Degree in economics, business administration or a comparable course of study
• Proficient in written and spoken German and English
• Confident handling of MS Office
• Practical experience with the creation of presentation documents is an advantage
• Commitment, reliability and ability to work in a team
• Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
• Communication and presentation skills
• Enthusiasm for new topics
