The Pricing & Profit Management Team is responsible for driving growth by controlling Wayfair’s dynamic pricing and consumer price reception to manage the delicate tradeoff between short and long term profitability. The team serves as a centralizing force across Category Management, Finance, Marketing, Product, and Merchandising to manage the day to day business.
We are looking for candidates who have a strong business sense, excel in critical thinking, and like to uncover the root causes of business challenges. They analyze and manipulate terabyte datasets to generate business insights and optimize business performance via pricing performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Leverage data-driven analyses and innovative approaches to drive results for internal and external business partners
- Analyze Wayfair’s growth strategy and competitive positioning
- Gain exposure to the technology and ecommerce space
- Develop hands-on analytical and technical skills
- Work closely with core business functions to drive impact and results
- Quantify the direct impact of pricing and short/long term investments
Qualifications:
- Degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or other specializations with heavy quantitative focus
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills and a desire to improve processes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and SQL
- Enthusiastic, with proven ability to quickly get up to speed
