The Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute researches and develops innovative technologies for future mobile communications systems of the 6th generation (6G) and beyond. The focus of the Millimeter Wave Research Group is on the design, simulation and implementation of mobile communication systems in the frequency range between 6 GHz and 500 GHz. What you will do
Support of the "Millimeter Wave" group in project and research work
Commissioning and measurements of high frequency systems in the laboratory
Electromagnetic simulation of circuits, antennas, filters, and related structures
Programming by means of MATLAB, Python, C
What you bring to the table
Full-time student of electrical engineering or a similar field of study at a german university
Experience with high frequency technology and digital signal processing
Familiarity with RF measurement and laboratory techniques
Basic knowledge of Electromagnetic Theory and RF design flow
Programming experience with MATLAB and Python or C
English speaking, reading and writing skills

The position is initially limited to 1 year. An extension is explicitly desired.
The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
