The Customer Advisory team is responsible for identifying business challenges and requirements of the customer, where advanced data analytics and various SAS software solutions can be applied. We work closely with the sales teams to help them qualify the customer need, present and demonstrate SAS advanced analytical software in the best possible way. We strive to become the trusted advisors in data and AI for the most prominent companies in the region (German speaking countries).
As an intern, you might:
- Review together with the team requirements and tasks to be addressed, understanding details and implications for the customer’s business
- Assess and validate structured and unstructured data and make some preliminary assumptions about the use case viability and data quality, build data pipelines from source data
- Execute preliminary data analysis and build reports and visualizations to describe the data
- Create various types of analytical models
- Build pipelines for models training, deployment and inference
- Evaluate quality of models using various methods
- Create applications which help business users to consume results of data analysis and make various decisions
- Prove the use case technical and financial viability
- Create technical descriptions and customer-facing slides
Required Qualifications
- Degree Type: Associates, Bachelor’s, Master’s
- Targeted majors: STEM, Computer Science, Financials and Informatics
- You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program.
- Additional required skills/qualifications
- You've got some programing experience in one or more of the following languages:
- Python or R
- SQL
- You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of javascript
- Basic understanding of UI and UX design
- Good active listening skills
- Attention to details in programming/development
Location: The Team is hybrid, however it is advised that the student will be in the office in Heidelberg 2-3 days a week to be able to collaborate with mentor and teams in person.
