In the powertrain software development department, you can expect varied and challenging activities in a dynamic team. During your internship, you will mainly work on tasks as an integral part of the engineering teams. You will gain insights into the development of state-of-the-art technologies in the automotive industry and have the opportunity to expand your theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience of their application.

Your Tasks:

• You will support the programming of software functions in the powertrain of motor vehicles and work closely with our experienced engineers.
• You will help with the implementation of new software solutions in ongoing coordination with your colleagues.
• You will take on subtasks in the identification of requirements for new and existing functions.
• You support the documentation of requirements for new and existing functions.
• You and your team will be responsible for developing innovative AI-supported tools to increase the efficiency of our software development processes.

Necessary Skills:

• Ongoing studies in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering or a comparable course of study
• Basic knowledge of software engineering and programming
• Initial experience in the use of tools for graphical modeling/programming of algorithms (e.g. Simulink)
• Good knowledge of German and English (at least B-1 level), for understanding technical German-language documents and communicating with colleagues

Desired Skills:

• Interest in the automotive industry and powertrain-related technologies
• First points of contact in the application of AI tools and methods
• Ability to work in a team, initiative and a structured way of working

The salary is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current hourly wage for this position is EUR 17.52 - from February 2025 the hourly wage will be EUR 18.10. The internship is remunerated with a monthly salary of EUR 979.00 - from February 2025 the monthly salary will be EUR 1,012.00.
