Job Role Background and Summary

Huawei’s Technical Cooperation Team in the Munich Research Center is looking for a working student who will collaborate with different multi-disciplinary teams on finding suitable solutions for their needs and building fruitful collaborations with experts from Universities and Industries.

The right candidate is a passionate about cutting edge technologies, always up-to-date with the new products and solutions in the market, curious and eager to learn to undertake new challenges and acquire new skills.

In this role, the working student will be involved in wide range of topics like AI, hardware and software optimization, human machine/computer interactions. New challenges and constant learn are the key points for this position.

Your responsibilities

• Understand the projects the different teams are working on.
• Collect blockers and pain points from the teams.
• Research interesting solutions in academic papers and in the Industry.
• Identify experts in the field and works on building collaborations.
• Collect insights on the topics and summarizes them in clear and useful reports.

Required background and experience:

• Bachelor degree in computer science or other scientific disciplines.
• Previous research experience, working in a research team environment and writing research reports are nice to have.
• Development experience in at least one programming language.
• Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence concepts such as machine learning, deep learning, LLM and computer vision.
• Familiarity with graphics concepts such as 3DGS, rendering, and image processing.
• Experience with AI-powered graphics tools or libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV) is a plus.

Required skills / personal characteristics

• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proactive independent attitude.
• Good analytical skills and work in a solution-oriented way.
• Flexible and adaptive with a positive approach to managing different projects and resources.
• Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and work well with a team.
• Chinese speaker is not required but it is a nice to have
