The Position
The Developmental Systems and Computational Biology group led by Gray Camp at the Institute of Human Biology (IHB) at Roche in Basel, Switzerland is hosting an internship position for a talented researcher to advance integrative multimodal data analysis. The main involvement will be working within a small team to support large-scale bioimage analysis of complex human model system data.
Your Profile:
You are currently enrolled in a university (B.Sc. or M.Sc. program) in relevant subjects such as bioinformatics, computer science, biotechnology, or related fields, or you have completed your degree within the past 12 months.
Strong coding skills in Python, being familiar with scientific libraries: Numpy, Scikit-image, Scikit-learn, Scipy, Pandas and Anndata.
Knowledge with deep learning libraries like Keras, Tensorflow or Pytorch are a plus.
R coding skills and being familiar with the Tidyverse, especially Ggplot and Dplyr are seen as a plus.
Experience in microscopy image analysis frameworks, viewer tools (e.g. Napari) and high-performance computing environments.
Desire to understand biological systems through exploratory data analysis.
