Internship R&D Technical Photography - Consumer Technology Insights

About this Position Our test salons are part of the research and development function at Henkel. Here, hairdressers, product testers and engineers evaluate new formulations, applications and devices and support, consult and inspire our product development during the development process and before the final market launch. During this process, we aim for a very robust documentation of our progress and take pictures in a standardized form so that they can be compared retrospectively and support the development process.
We are looking for skilled and passionate candidate for a 6-months internship to help us develop and realize the most ideal photo documentation ecosystem for our Düsseldorf test-salon.
What youll do

• Identification of improvement potential for the general setup of the system as part of the evaluation infrastructure
• Recommendation of a cloud-based solution for centralized data storage and accessibility incl. linking to results within other results documentation IT systems
• Review of the existing prototype to identify potential improvement areas for the scientific analysis of the defined key performance criteria
• Definition of a “Standard of Excellence” scenario to take the current situation to the next level - development of an action plan (milestones including required resources) to raise the current scenario to the ideal situation
• Recommendation for monitoring the system along with a regular assessment of performance improvements - collaboration with the different internal departments & functions to implement the partners' requirements
• Evaluation of the currently existing system for photo documentation of hair cosmetic results on consumers’ head  in the R&D test-salon in Düsseldorf

What makes you a good fit

• Student with a minimum of 4 semesters of studies in media technology, photography or comparable areas
• Experience with internet-based storage solutions
• Excellent analytical skills, solution-oriented, adaptive mindset and ‘Can-do’-attitude
• Capable of working with multifunctional groups to move projects forward
• Strong communication and presentation skills for verbal and written communication of ideas, technical rationales, risks, issues and recommendations
• Fluent in English and German language
• A passion for Beauty - in touch with trends and technology in the beauty industry

We offer you an attractive salary between 1050-2095. The exact amount of the remuneration depends on the desired duration, the type of internship (voluntary or mandatory) and existing degrees.
