Our Philips products interact connected lighting systems, and data-enabled services transform people’s lives in homes, buildings, and public spaces. We define the meaning of light.

CityTouch is a remote light management solution for roads and streets. It comprises road luminaires with a controller unit, which can communicate with a Cloud backend service to allow remote control and monitoring. We have a large installed base of customers and connected luminaires.

More about the role

For the Global Software Operations team, we are looking for a working student. You will be based in our European Operations Centre in Aachen.

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: a minimum of 12 months would be preferable

What you’ll do

  • Support the Operations team in maintaining our cloud infrastructure

  • OR the development and the daily operations of our ticket system (OTRS)

  • OR Support the team in the daily logistics and support activities

More about you

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master program in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable subject

  • You enjoy working in an international software team

  • There is no problem you cannot solve – an international, multi- disciplined team will work with you hand in hand

  • You like solving problems and are used to working independently

  • You have worked with Windows or Linux operating systems before

  • You are interested in cloud technologies (AWS), server- and network architecture

  • Fluent in English is a must, German knowledge is a plus
