Responsibilities / Tasks

The GEA Digital Hub Düsseldorf is dedicated to digitalizing GEA's customer interface, creating new digital products and services, and establishing innovative business models. Working collaboratively with digital units across all divisions, the Hub offers GEA-wide platforms, services, and methods to support these efforts.

As a corporate start-up, the GEA Digital Hub operates with an agile approach, driving digital transformation throughout the company.

In the Chapter – Portal Development we focus on customer centric development by providing a modular Customer Portal with all standard functionality, enabling our individual division product teams to efficiently create integrated & product specific IoT Cloud solutions.

We are looking for a dedicated working student (f/m/d/x) in the IT department to join our team with immediate effect.

Your responsibilities:

• Support the developer community in driving the open source & inner source initiatives.

• Collaboration in the conception and implementation of mobile applications (iOS/Android).

• Researching new technologies and trends in the field of open source and mobile apps.

• Carrying out tests and quality assurance measures for software solutions.

• Supporting the development team with daily tasks and projects.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• Enrolled student (m/f/d) in the field of computer science, software development or a comparable field of study.

• Initial experience in software development, preferably with open source technologies.

• Interest in agile development methods and modern software architectures.

• Independent way of working, ability to work in a team and enthusiasm for innovative technologies.

• Fluent English language skills; solid German is a plus
