Research & Development delivers hearing solutions and services for people with hearing loss, hearing care professionals, and further related people, in the form of hearing devices, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software.
As an intern in the R&D “Biological Safety and Materials” team you will support the materials engineers in the characterization and performance evaluation of protective coatings for hearing instruments. You will prepare, run, analyze and report a variety of materials characterizations and coating performance tests, as well as improve existing test routines.
This program is limited for 6 months.
Your tasks:
- Perform material characterization tests (e.g. contact angle, FTIR etc.)
- Execute and evaluate environmental resistance and reliability tests to assess the performance of different protective coating technologies on hearing aid devices
- Develop and/or improve test methods to assess ingress protection and optimize performance
- Support the evaluation of manufacturability and processability of different coating technologies
- Analysis, documentation and presentation of the results
Your profile:
- BSc or MSc student in the field of materials science, mechanical engineering or similar filed
- Interest in the field of coating technologies
- Flair for laboratory hands-on work
- Open minded and self-motivated, communicative
- Good communication skills in English
