Ingolstadt: Internship - ADAS: Data Analytics for Safety Functions (m/f/d)

YOUR TEAM

It is our mission at the CARIAD ADAS & AD team to develop one unified technology stack in-house that brings Level 4 automated driving and parking to private cars and at the same time scales down to supply important NCAP safety functionalities to the entire VW fleet - making mobility safer and creating a new level of driving comfort.

You have the opportunity to work in an agile and highly motivated interdisciplinary team to build safe, secure and scalable systems that will shape the future of the Volkswagen group.
During your internship you can collaborate with us on our daily operations and projects. You will contribute to topics in the data based development. In our team we focus on data analytics tasks to support the development of Active Safety Functions (e.g. emergency brake assist). Data from emergency brake assist activations in vehicles are the basis for our activities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Data preprocessing of data from a function activation dataset including time-series and image data
• State of the art data analytics including the usage of neural networks (usage of GenAI optional)
• Contribution to our analytics process in Databricks cloud environment 
• Appropriate visualization of results
• Documentation of achieved progress

WHO YOU ARE

• Enrolled student in computer science, automotive engineering or a comparable course of study
• Very good academic performance
• Very good programming skills (especially Python)
• Experience in using machine learning methods
• You are communicative and can drive your topics forward independently

• Duration: 3 - 6 months 
• 35 h/week
