Augsburg: Bachelor thesis production development (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

The Bachelor's thesis comprises the following tasks:

• You summarise the requirements for the artificial ageing of aluminium dome segments (including commonality among different projects - one device for several geometries)
• You conduct a literature research on use cases with similar configuration
• You work out a concept that takes into account the above requirements, including design drafts and supplier search
• If possible, you will carry out a thermal analysis for the selected concept, possibly also for two or three different options/variants
• You carry out feasibility tests on detailed issues such as the required output of the heating mats, time savings during heating/cooling, handling concept
• You estimate the costs of the previous hot storage system compared to the disruptive idea

Your Qualifications

Ongoing Bachelor's degree in the field of materials science or a comparable field
