Job Description

• While obtaining your master’s degree, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team that is developing new disposables for the CliniMACS Prodigy.
• You will investigate key parameters influencing cell cultivation processes on the CM Prodigy platform, focusing on optimizing environmental conditions to support cell growth and viability. This includes monitoring and analyzing.relevant biological and physical factors throughout the cultivation phase.
• After thorough induction and training at your workplace, you will conduct your experiments independently, but also in close cooperation with the team. With your own ideas, you will actively contribute to the development of innovative cell therapy tools.
• Sharing your results is fundamental within the team as well as other departments within the company. Therefore, you will continue to develop communication skills to present and discuss your results at internal meetings.
• Your workplace will be in Bergisch Gladbach.

Qualifications

• You are an enrolled student and already hold a B.Sc. degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or comparable with above-average grades.
• During your studies you gained extensive knowledge of bioprocess engineering, biology and immunology.
• You have initial practical experience with mammalian cell culture and flow cytometry techniques. Experience in the cultivation and characterization of primary immune cells is an advantage.
• You are highly self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and are willing to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills complete your profile.
